Overview

The Yard Sales Associate 1 CDL Driver at Gold Beach Lumber Yard Inc. is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing the transportation and delivery of lumber and building materials. This role combines sales expertise with driving responsibilities to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient operations within the yard.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist customers in selecting lumber and building materials, providing product knowledge and recommendations.
  • Operate a commercial vehicle to transport materials, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring accuracy and care.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard for safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet customer expectations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock checks and restocking.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities.

Required skills

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment safely
