Overview

The Welcome Desk Representative at Sewickley Valley YMCA serves as the first point of contact for all individuals entering the facility. This part-time role is centered around delivering exceptional customer service, managing building access, and providing basic administrative support in a safe, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet every individual with warmth and positivity
  • Scan membership cards and verify guest credentials
  • Provide accurate information on schedules, classes, and special events
  • Answer incoming calls and route inquiries to the correct staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of the welcome desk and organize program materials
  • Register members for programs and update contact information
  • Monitor the entry area for safety and report issues immediately
