Job Description

Overview

Astound is a leading provider of internet, WiFi, mobile, and TV services. The Technical Solutions Trainer role focuses on delivering high-quality training programs for employees in customer interactions, sales performance, installation procedures, and trouble-call resolution to ensure exceptional service and technical support for customers. The trainer will develop curriculum and conduct both classroom and hands-on training, collaborating with operational leaders to align training with business goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality training programs for customer service teams and field technicians
  • Develop and update training materials, job aids, manuals, and e-learning content
  • Conduct engaging training sessions in sales, customer service, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Facilitate role-play, simulations, and scenario-based exercises
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance assessments throughout the training cycle
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback surveys
  • Ensure safety compliance and incorporate field safety best practices
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to integrate new technologies into training
  • Monitor trainee progress and provide timely coaching
  • Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation

Required skills

  • 5+ years of Technical Installation and Troubleshooting Experience
  • 2+ years of facilitation and leadership experience
  • Proficiency in RF theory, Digital Theory, RF Design, Fiber Optics, IP networking, and telephony
  • Experience training, coaching, or mentoring in customer service and technical operations
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications products and services
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple training classes
  • Instructional design knowledge including adult learning theory and curriculum development
  • Valid Driver's license with acceptable driving record
