Overview

The Store Manager at Soma in Lone Tree, Colorado, is responsible for creating an inclusive and engaging environment while driving store performance. This role involves overseeing customer experience, talent management, financial objectives, operational controls, and merchandise presentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Model and ensure commitment to brand culture and policies
  • Recruit, hire, and develop talent while maintaining a succession plan
  • Collaborate with Design and Merchandising leaders throughout the Product Life Cycle
  • Lead merchandising activities for product turnover and gross margin
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and laws
  • Monitor selling behaviors and provide coaching to associates
  • Support company-sponsored events and initiatives
  • Analyze reporting and create strategies to enhance customer experience
  • Execute visual merchandising updates and maintain brand standards
  • Communicate brand positioning and educate associates on product knowledge
  • Manage controllable expenses and effective scheduling
  • Ensure compliance with operational guidelines and safety protocols
  • Lead the team by setting expectations, providing guidance, and empowering members

Required skills

  • High School diploma required; some college or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in retail
  • Experience in a Store Manager position for at least 2 years
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain a full store team
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of visual standards and merchandising techniques
  • Ability to analyze business trends and manage payroll expenses
  • Capable of working flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
