Overview

The Store Manager at Soma in Fort Myers, Florida, is responsible for creating an engaging environment that promotes inclusivity and drives both associate and customer engagement. Key responsibilities

  • Model and enforce brand culture, policies, and procedures among associates
  • Recruit, hire, retain, and develop talent while maintaining a succession plan
  • Partner with design and merchandising teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead merchandising activities for optimal product turnover and gross margin
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational guidelines, and applicable laws
  • Observe and coach selling behaviors to align with brand expectations
  • Support in-store company events and philanthropic initiatives
  • Analyze reports to identify opportunities and create strategies for customer experience enhancement
  • Execute visual merchandising updates and maintain brand standards
  • Communicate brand positioning and educate associates on products and lifestyle
  • Manage controllable expenses and ensure effective scheduling
  • Foster team commitment and create a positive working environment
  • Adapt to changing situations and customer demands

Required skills

  • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in retail
  • 2 years of experience as a store manager
  • Proven ability to recruit and develop a full store team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising standards and techniques
  • Ability to forecast and analyze business trends
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
