Overview

Foresight Intelligence is seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to play a crucial role in the company's financial operations. The position involves overseeing daily accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and journal entries, while also participating in special projects that enhance business procedures. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a significant impact in a small, dynamic company environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support daily accounting functions and financial operations
  • Ensure accurate accounting and timely vendor payment processing
  • Process and record deposits and incoming payments
  • Manage collections and follow up on outstanding receivables
  • Prepare and balance journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Perform credit card entry and reconciliation
  • Prepare ad hoc accounting and financial reports
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for audits and reviews
  • Conduct Multi-State Sales Tax research, preparation, and filing
  • Provide clerical support to the team
  • Collaborate with team members and establish cooperative relationships

Required skills

  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Experience with Multi-State Sales Tax Research and Filing
  • Hands-on QuickBooks experience
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills
