Overview

The Senior Quality Engineer at Dover Fueling Solutions will ensure products meet quality standards while driving initiatives to reduce waste and optimize processes. This role emphasizes a shift from reactive inspection to preventive quality assurance, utilizing data-driven methodologies to foster a culture of excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor in-process quality on the assembly line and lead Gemba walks to identify quality risks.
  • Drive Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and improve yield.
  • Lead investigations into production defects using advanced root cause analysis techniques.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality to resolve material issues and participate in new product introductions.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control and BI tools to analyze trends in quality.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality management system requirements.
  • Maintain necessary documentation for quality processes.
  • Support Material Review Board activities and decisions.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in AI and BI tools.
  • Experience with data systems like Intelex or Oracle.
  • Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
