Overview

Temperature Specialists, Inc. is seeking a Sensor Case Fabricator to join their machine shop team, where custom, high-accuracy temperature sensors are manufactured. This role involves hands-on metal fabrication and production machining, offering variety and engagement through different tasks including turning, welding, and finishing.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate a manual lathe to machine metal sensor case components
  • Use a chop saw and cutting equipment to cut metal tubing and stock
  • Perform TIG welding to produce clean, consistent welds
  • Operate laser welding equipment for precision joining of components
  • Deburr and clean machined parts to meet finish requirements
  • Operate sandblasting equipment for surface treatment
  • Finish and clean metal parts using wire wheel polishing equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
  • Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality
  • Document production output and maintain a clean, organized shop environment

Required skills
