Overview

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work onsite in Marlborough, Massachusetts, focused on developing full lifecycle solutions for advanced communication systems. The role involves leading projects, integrating systems within their environments, and coaching lower-level professionals while supporting communication systems for ground and airborne platforms.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation
  • Define and perform lab activities including definition, setup, configuration management, and testing
  • Integrate solutions within their target environment
  • Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals
  • Manage small projects or processes
  • Prepare and execute Design Reviews, Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification Testing
  • Review and document changes in systems or processes
  • Analyze and document system behaviors
  • Support system trade studies and requirements analysis
  • Define Modeling, Hardware, and Software Interfaces

Required skills

  • Strong integration and test experience
  • Test procedure development, execution, reporting, and automation
  • Proficient in Microsoft products and tasking boards like Jira and IBM EWM
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or 3 years with an Advanced Degree
  • Experience in Communication Radio and Systems: SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, PTW, or V/UHF
  • Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT)
  • System Level Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V)
  • Systems support to software application and hardware development
  • Virtual Machine design and deployment
  • Proficient in CAMEO and Rhapsody
  • Outstanding communication skills
