Overview

The Senior Manager of Human Resources at Yanmar Compact Equipment North America will lead the North American HR Team with a strategic focus on employee relations, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, and performance management. This role requires close collaboration with the Global HR team and reports directly to the President, overseeing multiple HR operations and ensuring alignment with the company's goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees human resources operations and builds partnerships with business leaders
  • Works with Global HR for effective delivery of HR services across the employee life cycle
  • Implements and executes HR policies and programs
  • Acts as 'People Partner' to the CENA President
  • Partners with leadership to promote organizational best practices
  • Contributes to strategic planning and goal setting with leadership team
  • Monitors daily operations to meet service goals and ensure compliance
  • Designs compensation programs to maintain competitive pay
  • Leads contract negotiations and manages union employee relations
  • Develops recruiting and retention strategies for key staff members
  • Implements organizational policies in compliance with regulations
  • Ensures effective performance management processes
  • Manages data submissions and reports to regulatory bodies
  • Promotes a positive employee experience and embodies company culture
  • Oversees compliance with government, legal, and regulatory requirements

Required skills

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree with HR specialization
  • 10+ years of experience in various HR functions
  • SHRM CP or SCP Certification (Desired)
  • Strategic planning and organizational skills
  • Consultative experience with business leaders
  • Experience with Global Teams in a Multi-Cultural Environment
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven strategic leadership experience
  • Experience in leading HR professionals
  • Project and global program management experience
  • Strong business acumen and influencing skills
  • Problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRM systems
