Were proud to support both schools and staff by creating smart, fast matches that benefit students and communities alike.As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you'll work closely with licensed teachers to support K12 students with special needs in the classroom. Your role will focus on helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by providing one-on-one and small group assistance tailored to their IEP goals.We are seeking Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join us supporting students.In this role positively contributing to the lives of children in special education by supporting licensed teachers with academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral needs.Please note - This role is in Fox Chapel and will require a vehicle to commute to the school.Responsibilities:Assisting licensed staff in the classroomAid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learningWork with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presentedProvide support for students in crisisUtilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as neededCelebrate the students youre working withSupport students with elements of personal care (feeding, toileting, etc.)Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED3 months experience with Special Needs or DisabilitiesApplicants must have professional proficiency in EnglishUS Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.Physical Requirements:Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the dayAble to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application processPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience working in special educationBehavioral Technician or PCA experienceCrisis prevention (CPI) trainingCPR certificationSalaryPay: $20 per hour, paid weekly.Schedule: Minimum 5 days throughout Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 - 3:00/4:30 pm.Benefits:Weekly Direct DepositPotential to qualify for health coverage and 401(k) participation, subject to role and eligibility criteria.Ready to shape the future of learning?
