Job Description

Overview

Alturas Analytics, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented Sample Management Technician I to manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of clinical samples. This role ensures accuracy, quality, and compliance with SOPs and GLP guidelines while supporting laboratory operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of clinical samples in accordance with GLP and SOP guidelines
  • Perform quality control (QC) checks on study samples
  • Maintain sample tracking in LIMS
  • Correspond with clients/sponsors to resolve sample receipt issues
  • Document all processes and maintain records
  • Qualify as a trainer for junior Sample Management Technicians
  • Conduct in-process audits
  • Maintain cold storage equipment and clean work areas as needed

Required skills

  • Associate's degree in a physical, biological or chemical science preferred or high school diploma with 1-3 years of expe
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret procedures, regulations, and guidelines
  • Experience with data entry and computer use
