Job Description

Overview

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for private duty nursing in Converse, Texas. The nurse will be responsible for the application of the nursing process and delivery of patient care, demonstrating clinical judgment under the direction of the Clinical Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
  • Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from healthcare members and documents nursing diagnoses
  • Documents the patient’s plan of care using nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes
  • Performs interventions according to priorities and patient care standards
  • Revises the plan of care based on evaluations and changes in the medical plan
  • Uses clinical judgment to meet patient care needs and establish priorities
  • Performs additional RN or LPN duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Current Nurse License for the state of practice
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
  • Current BLS card
  • One year prior nursing experience preferred
  • Enteral feeds
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilator management
