Job Description

Overview

The Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) at Summit Medical Management leads the billing, coding, claims submission, denial management, and accounts receivable functions for Summit Surgical. This role involves managing a team while ensuring compliance, optimizing revenue capture, and maintaining financial reporting accuracy within the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle operations including patient registration, prior authorization, charge capture, coding review, claims submission, and denial management
  • Ensure timely and accurate claim submission to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers in compliance with guidelines
  • Maintain clean claim rate target and monitor days in accounts receivable against facility benchmarks
  • Manage and optimize billing and coding modules, identifying workflow improvement opportunities
  • Review and audit coding for surgical, anesthesia, and facility procedures for accuracy
  • Ensure HIPAA billing compliance and adhere to regulatory requirements
  • Produce revenue cycle performance dashboards and track key metrics
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on denial trends and develop corrective action plans
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a team of billing and coding specialists
  • Manage payer contracts and serve as primary escalation contact for complex claim disputes
