Overview

R.L. Klein & Associates Inc. is seeking experienced Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCPs) to provide respiratory therapy services within California correctional healthcare facilities. This role offers licensed professionals the chance for competitive compensation, flexible scheduling, and the ability to significantly impact patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy services following evidence-based clinical practices
  • Assess patients and perform respiratory evaluations
  • Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory treatments
  • Set up, monitor, and educate patients on respiratory therapy equipment
  • Monitor patient response and document treatments accurately and promptly
  • Maintain complete and timely medical records in accordance with facility policies
  • Assist with the development and implementation of respiratory therapy procedures and protocols
  • Evaluate respiratory equipment and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities
  • Attend required in-service education and mandatory training programs
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care
  • Perform additional respiratory care duties as assigned by the institution

Required skills

  • Minimum 12 continuous months of respiratory care experience within the last 3 years
  • Current and valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
  • Current credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program approved by CoARC
