Job Description

Overview

The Quality Manager at Compulink Cable Assemblies of Florida will lead and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in adherence to AS9100 standards within an aerospace manufacturing setting. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in quality processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, maintain, and improve the AS9100-certified Quality Management System.
  • Oversee all quality assurance functions including inspection, auditing, calibration, and document control.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (RCCA/CAPA).
  • Manage internal and external audit programs and act as liaison with customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure product and process compliance for aerospace wiring harness manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
  • Develop and monitor quality metrics and trends for senior leadership.
  • Lead and mentor quality staff to enhance quality capabilities.
  • Manage customer quality communication regarding requirements and product performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing aerospace manufacturing QMS.
  • Expertise in AS9100 standards and maintaining certification.
  • Understanding of aerospace wiring harness manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools like 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, PFMEA.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and FAA/regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships.
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE) or Lead Auditor credentials are a plus.
