This role serves as a working lead, performing mechanical inspections while helping ensure production schedules, customer requirements, and quality objectives are achieved.This position acts as a technical resource for inspection methods, metrology, blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and quality documentation. The Inspection Team Lead also serves as a backup to the Quality Supervisor, supporting departmental continuity and day-to-day operations as needed.What You'll DoCoordinate daily inspection priorities and workflow to support production schedules, customer requirements, and business objectivesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to Quality Inspectors regarding inspection methods, measurement techniques, and interpretation of specifications and drawingsServe as the primary resource for inspection-related questions and quality concernsSupport training and development of inspectors on inspection equipment, procedures, and quality system requirementsPromote a culture of quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvementServe as a liaison between Inspection, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure effective communication and issue resolutionAct as backup to the Quality Supervisor by assisting with workflow coordination, communication of departmental priorities, escalation of quality concerns, and day-to-day team support activities during periods of absencePerform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment and established inspection methodsUtilize advanced inspection
