Overview

Quality Engineer Manager Salary up to $145,000 + Benefits + Paid Relocation to the Midwest Join a leading automotive manufacturer as our Quality Engineer Manager and take the lead in driving quality excellence across the plant. You'll guide a team of quality professionals, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with operations and customers to deliver world-class products. In this leadership role as the Quality Engineer Manager, you'll oversee quality systems, direct process improvement efforts, reduce defects and warranty claims, and ensure compliance with automotive quality standards. Success will be measured by improvements in first-pass yield, customer satisfaction, and overall manufacturing performance. Your Impact as Quality Engineer Manager: • Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Engineering team • Oversee Process Control Plans (PCP), PFMEA, and quality management systems • Drive corrective and preventive actions using customer feedback, warranty data, and production metrics • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility • Support APQP/PPAP activities for new product launches • Partner with operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality concerns • Coordinate customer audits and visits while ensuring compliance with IATF/TS-16949 and ISO quality standards • Establish quality objectives, monitor key performance indicators, and promote a culture of operational excellence. What Skills, Experience, & Education You'll Bring: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field • At least 5 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, including leadership experience • Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems, including IATF/TS-16949, ISO standards, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Process Control Plans • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Ability to travel occasionally and work additional hours when needed. Big PLUS Qualifications: • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) • Certified Quality Technician (CQT) • Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) • ASE Certification, or similar quality certifications.
