Job Description

Overview

Medical Manufacturing Technologies LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the inspection, testing, and validation of custom automation equipment and tooling. This role is vital in ensuring that products meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations, requiring frequent travel between California and Utah facilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspections of parts and materials to verify compliance with engineering drawings and quality requirements.
  • Conduct quality inspections and functional testing of assembled tools and machinery.
  • Review products against technical specifications including drawings and schematics.
  • Troubleshoot electrical wiring and automation systems issues.
  • Perform testing on automation components like PLCs and PCBs.
  • Document quality concerns and communicate with Engineering and Operations.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Provide feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and testing records.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience or equivalent technical training.
  • Experience in quality inspection, electro-mechanical assembly, and testing of OEM equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection tools and measurement equipment.
  • Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T.
  • Experience troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
