We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to manage the purchasing of outsourced parts, equipment, services, supplies, and other materials needed to manufacture our Autonomous Robotic Construction System (ARCS) and to keep our organization operating efficiently. This role will be responsible for coordinating with vendors, obtaining quotes, placing and tracking orders, maintaining purchasing records, and ensuring employees have the resources they need. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, cost-conscious, and comfortable managing multiple purchasing requests while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. Strong proficiency with ERPs, such as Odoo, is required. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date procurement and inventory information within Odoo. ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day procurement of raw material to manufacture machine parts, subcontracted components of the machine, electrical components, and other software and hardware componentsCreate, submit, and track purchase orders through OdooReceive and review purchasing requests from employees and departmentsResearch products and vendors to identify the best combination of price, quality, and delivery timeObtain and compare vendor quotes and negotiate pricing when appropriateCreate and submit purchase orders and track orders through deliveryMaintain accurate records of purchases, vendors, pricing, and invoicesIdentify opportunities to reduce costs and improve purchasing processesMonitor and update inventory in OdooCoordinate deliveries, returns, replacements, and warranty issuesDevelop basic purchasing reports and track spending by category or department in OdooMust Have 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, operations, or a related fieldAbility to work in-person, in Calverton NY, for the duration of your employment Strong proficiency with Odoo, particularly Purchase and InventoryExperience managing purchase orders and vendor relationshipsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to track multiple orders, vendors, and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving skillsEnjoy hands-on, cross-disciplinary workAbility to work independently and prioritize competing requestsComfortable working in a fast-paced, growing companyNice to haveExperience in construction, manufacturing, engineering, robotics, or industrial equipmentExperience purchasing mechanical or electrical componentsFamiliarity with construction materials and suppliersExperience with ERP or inventory management systemsExperience negotiating vendor pricingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPlease apply using the link to our website:
