We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries.We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our growing team.This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State. Department Summary:It is the responsibility of the Procurement Specialist to purchase materials, supplies, equipment and services used by Janicki Industries. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for meeting cost, quality and delivery goals and providing the highest levels of customer service; coordinating closely with the Materials, Operations, Engineering and Quality functions to ensure Suppliers meet or exceed Janicki Industries Quality and Delivery Objectives. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for interfacing with materials and operations teams to manage and plan inventory levels.Evaluate supplier production capacity, equipment capability, workforce availability, and scalabilityAlign supplier capacity with forecasted demand and fabrication schedulesConduct regular capacity reviews with key suppliers to identify constraints and growth limitationsAssess supplier technical capabilities relative to fabrication requirements (e.g., machining tolerances, welding certifications, composite layup processes, etc.)Participate in make-vs-buy analysis with consideration of supplier capacity and internal workloadCommunicate rolling forecasts and long-range capacity needs to strategic suppliersGenerates purchase orders, maintains data and coordinates payment in ERP systemProvides outstanding levels of customer serviceInterfaces with the Materials and Operations teams to manage and plan inventory levelsInterfaces with the Quality team to manage supplier quality issuesMay support negotiations best prices and terms for materials and services Ensures processes comply with AS9100 quality requirementsEnsures contract terms are adhered to and deliverables metInterfaces with internal customers on supplier issuesResponsible for maintaining effective relationships with strategic suppliers and monitoring performanceManages significant bid packages from inception to contract award to maximize total valueMust work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlinesMust be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the jobPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.Education/ Experience:Required: Relevant 4-year degree or equivalent experienceMinimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED2+ years of experience purchasing materials, supplies, equipment and/or services on a supply chain teamDemonstrated experience in contract negotiations/managementExperience in an ISO or AS quality management systemExperience working in an ERP/PDM environmentMust have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.Must be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearancePreferred: Aerospace industry experience preferredExperience in a manufacturing environment preferredProject management experience preferredCPIM or CSCP certification a plusDetailed Wage Information:Salary range for this role is between $89,000 - $115,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits.
