Overview

Zaden Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Principal Windows Systems Administrator to lead the design and management of enterprise Windows infrastructure and Azure Virtual Desktop environments. This role is pivotal in supporting DevSecOps initiatives and ensuring secure and efficient operations for defense and space systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments to support workforce requirements
  • Administer and optimize Group Policy Objects across enterprise domains
  • Conduct security and vulnerability scanning and remediate identified vulnerabilities
  • Manage Windows Update deployment strategies and oversee patch management
  • Oversee Linux virtual machine environments and ensure cross-platform integration
  • Design and troubleshoot complex networking configurations
  • Architect and maintain Azure infrastructure components
  • Lead compliance efforts by implementing and validating security baselines
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior administrators
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams for infrastructure-as-code practices

Required skills

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of experience in Windows system administration in enterprise environments
  • Expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop deployment and management
  • Proficiency in Group Policy management and troubleshooting
  • Experience with security and vulnerability scanning tools
  • Proven management of patch management solutions like WSUS
  • Administration of Linux virtual machines in enterprise or cloud environments
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting
  • Solid understanding of Azure cloud services and networking
