Job Description

Overview

As a Perinatal Ultrasound Technician at MSO - MC Plano OB & MFM, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized ultrasound imaging services to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care. You will work closely with a supportive team dedicated to the purpose-driven care of patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply fetal and gynecological ultrasound principles in patient evaluations.
  • Operate ultrasound machines including General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL.
  • Identify fetal and gynecological anomalies and make preliminary diagnoses.
  • Perform ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix, and ovaries.
  • Prepare patients for various ultrasound procedures.
  • Maintain accurate ultrasound logging records.
  • Exercise independent judgment when interpreting Biophysical Profiles.
  • Alert physicians of potentially dangerous conditions and diagnose fetal weight disturbances.

Required skills

  • Associates degree in Ultrasound required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • RDMS certification required
  • RDMS - OB/GYN preferred
  • Proficiency with ultrasound machines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to various ultrasound machines and maintain high standards of sonography
