Overview

Superior Metal Technologies is seeking a dedicated Painter (Industrial) to join their team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves painting metal parts and ensuring a high standard of safety and organization while supporting production operations within a leading aluminum metal finishing company.

Key responsibilities

  • Application of paint on products according to specifications
  • Color change and selecting correct paint for jobs
  • Daily cleaning of equipment and minor adjustments as needed
  • Conducting visual inspections of paint quality and making adjustments
  • Troubleshooting issues and performing minor equipment repairs
  • Training other technicians as required
  • Maintaining communication with paint group leader and assisting with overall production

Required skills

  • 1 year of experience with electrostatic painting and HVLP systems
  • Ability to read and understand work orders
  • Experience wearing respirator equipment
  • Knowledge of viscosity checks and wet film build checks
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent safety awareness
