Overview

The Medication Assistant at Stratford Court of Palm Harbor will provide essential support in medication administration and personal care for residents within a senior living environment. This role involves engaging with residents, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide medication assistance in accordance with state regulations and company policy.
  • Maintain medication cart and storage room in an orderly manner.
  • Perform accurate medication counts and ensure security of medication storage.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities as needed.
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation and activities.
  • Respond promptly to all resident needs and requests for care.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.
  • Assist in dining room during resident meal times.
  • Encourage resident participation in scheduled activities.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Time management and documentation skills.
  • Ability to perform job duties with or without accommodation.
  • Medication Aide training and certification (where required).
