Overview

The Medication Assistant at Stratford Court of Palm Harbor is responsible for providing medication assistance to residents, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies. This role involves engaging with residents in meaningful conversation while assisting with daily activities and monitoring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide medication assistance according to state regulations and company policy
  • Maintain the medication cart and storage room in an orderly manner
  • Ensure accurate medication counts and security of medication supplies
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation and activities
  • Respond promptly to resident care requests
  • Document medication administration and resident observations in a timely manner
  • Assist in dining room during meal times as needed
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and outings

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ year experience as Caregiver or CNA in a residential setting
  • Medication Aide training and certification as required
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Time management skills
  • Record keeping skills
  • Teamwork and emotional support abilities
  • Basic caregiving skills
