Overview

Centerpoint Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist PRN to join their dedicated team. The role involves conducting routine and complex laboratory tests in various fields to ensure high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and teamwork within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures in laboratory sections.
  • Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and other areas.
  • Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment, and verifying equipment function.
  • Monitor quality control measures and protocols.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related science required or equivalent certification.
  • Certified as Medical Technologist by relevant accreditation bodies (e.g., CLIA 88 MT, ASCP).
  • Registry/certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
  • Experience in laboratory testing and patient diagnostics preferred.
