Overview

The Material Planner at Pennsylvania Transformer Technology LLC is responsible for managing inventories and ensuring that material resources align with production schedules. The role involves determining material specifications, maintaining inventory schedules, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality materials necessary for production.

Key responsibilities

  • Determine required materials and generate work orders and purchase requisitions
  • Make inventory transactions to ensure ERP system accuracy
  • Ensure materials meet specifications and are cost-efficient
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals and material needs
  • Track production volume and monitor demand patterns
  • Manage inventory issues and schedule changes
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile records
  • Determine reorder levels for materials and generate requisitions as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions and material movements

Required skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Effective coordination with production, purchasing, and engineering teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in materials planning or inventory management preferred
