Job Description

Overview

The Manufacturing Technician at Arctic Industries is responsible for various tasks related to the production of refrigeration chambers. This role involves following standard operating procedures, ensuring high-quality results, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment while collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble components and subassemblies according to production specifications and plans.
  • Operate and maintain machinery and tools used in the production process.
  • Ensure products are assembled correctly and meet quality standards.
  • Perform regular checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Report any quality issues or discrepancies to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Handle raw materials and components, including loading and unloading.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine cleaning and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in minor repairs and troubleshooting of production equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production progress and issues.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest improvements to production processes.
  • Be willing to work overtime as needed based on business demands.

Required skills

  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good physical condition and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and effective teamwork.
  • Experience with measuring devices (imperial measurement system).
  • Basic math competency.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
