Overview

The Manager of Quality Testing and Implementation at Avalon Administrative Services is responsible for leading a cross-skilled team dedicated to the testing, validation, and delivery of complex client implementations within the healthcare sector. The role emphasizes the development of a standardized quality testing framework, ensuring data integrity, and driving process standardization across the implementation lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and operationalize a standardized quality testing framework
  • Establish clear entry/exit criteria and validation standards
  • Ensure data integrity and end-to-end system validation
  • Drive adoption of risk-based and predictive testing approaches
  • Lead quality efforts across the full implementation lifecycle
  • Own go/no-go readiness assessments and executive-level quality summaries
  • Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional QA/testing team
  • Mentor team members in technical skills and leadership capabilities
  • Establish clear handoffs between requirements, testing, and implementation phases
  • Reduce reliance on manual processes through automation

Required skills

  • 8+ years experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or implementation roles
  • 3+ years experience leading teams in a delivery-intensive, cross-functional setting
  • Experience in healthcare, claims processing, or highly regulated environments
  • Familiarity with AI/automation in testing
  • Strong technical skills including SDLC, SQL, Postman, and EDI 835/837 transactions
  • Previous experience in growth stage or private-equity backed companies
  • Working knowledge of Jira and Smartsheet
