Overview

Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Manager of Nursing for the Inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant unit. This role involves overseeing clinical and personnel activities to ensure high-quality, family-centered patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain shift accountability for clinical and personnel activities
  • Participate in the delivery of high-quality, family-centered patient care
  • Monitor and facilitate patient throughput for safe and efficient care
  • Coordinate patient care needs with healthcare team members
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to eliminate barriers
  • Serve as a liaison between physicians, families, and nursing staff
  • Coach and develop nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Support the implementation of unit goals and organizational strategies

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
  • Current RN Licensure by Texas Board of Nurses or Nurse Licensure Compact
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Two years of hematology/oncology and/or bone marrow transplant nursing experience
  • Healthcare communication
