Job Description

Overview

Superior Metal Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance functions in their 120,000 square foot paint and anodizing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance leadership, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and assign maintenance work
  • Implement policies and procedures for maintenance
  • Evaluate systems to determine necessary maintenance or repairs
  • Operate power tools and associated equipment safely
  • Balance safety, quality, cost, and productivity in maintenance processes
  • Lead maintenance team to maintain high morale and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC control systems
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks as required

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance leadership
  • Experience in an aluminum finishing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of electrical systems (AC and DC) and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with preventative maintenance
  • Hands-on leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of overhead crane systems
  • Welding experience with aluminum and steel
  • Ability to prioritize work based on production needs
