Overview

The Maintenance Engineer II at the LSU Alumni Association is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks in a hotel setting, demonstrating strong mechanical skills across multiple areas. The role includes responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to and attend to guest repair requests
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
  • Display proficiency in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on various equipment
  • Assist with painting, drywall repair, and general housekeeping duties
  • Train and mentor junior engineers
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities
