Overview

SUMMARY:Working as a member of the Maintenance Dept., the Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining and making necessary repairs throughout the facility. Must have a strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. A thorough understanding of maintaining a safe work environment is required. There are two levels of Facilities Technicians (I and II) at Barletta, dependent upon an individual's specialized skills, abilities, certifications, and / or education.Individuals in this role must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-focused environment.Barletta's culture is what sets us apart and creates a great employee experience. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems; Provide accurate estimates of any repairs neededPerform repairs and troubleshoot issues related to equipment, machinery, and building structures.Maintain and repair welders, hand and power tools, hoists, saws and various other equipment.Respond promptly to facility maintenance requests and emergencies.Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related needs.Assist in the setup and organization of workspaces, including moving and assembling furniture or equipment.Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and landscaping as needed.Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed. Perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis in accordance with written procedures and/or manufacturer's recommendations.Track and log required daily/weekly/annual inspections.Maintain a neat and organized work area and keep inventory of all tools.Supports a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifies opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards.Facilities Technician Level IProvide support in estimating repairs needed.Assist in performing basic to intermediate repairs under supervision.Learn to maintain and repair various equipment and tools.Aid in keeping records of maintenance work.Facilities Technician Level IIProvide accurate estimates for repairs independently.Perform intermediate to complex repairs in a safe and timely manner with minimal supervision.Maintain and repair various equipment and tools.Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed.Independently estimate and execute high-quality and complex repairs.Conduct preventative maintenance based on written procedures and manufacturer recommendations.Track and log required inspections regularly. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent- Technical or Vocational graduate preferredAt least 2+ years of maintenance experience, industrial facility preferredKnowledge in single phase electrical is required(3-phase is a plus)Must have a valid driver's licenseMust have the ability to perform all physical requirements including walking, standing, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and lifting upward of 50lbsMust possess good working knowledge of welding and fabricating equipmentKnowledge in basic/advanced construction is a plusWelding experience is a plusMust display good verbal and written communication skillsMust be a self-starter and be able to multi-task while remaining calm under pressureBasic Microsoft Office computer skillsHours may vary depending on needs and projects, ability to work overtime and weekends if necessaryCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Compensation is based on past job history, knowledge and experience.Medical/RxHSA/FSADental & VisionShort and Long-Term DisabilityCompany Paid Life
