Job Description

Overview

Cargill is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for their Food Enterprise in Kearns, Utah. The role involves performing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance throughout the facility, ensuring that equipment runs smoothly and effectively to support the food supply chain.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance
  • Document all completed work and conditions using maintenance software
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various equipment and systems
  • Operate standard maintenance tools, including power and hand tools
  • Comprehend mechanical/electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Operate a forklift
  • Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other assigned duties

Required skills

  • Industrial maintenance experience in an industrial environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written)
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience with packaging equipment, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, conveyors, pumps, gear reducers, and bearings
  • Familiarity with SAP or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Completion of Industrial Maintenance Technician Course or willingness to complete within 18 months
