Job Description

Overview

UMC, Inc is seeking an HVAC Superintendent to lead and manage HVAC projects in Boise, Idaho. With over 50 years in the plumbing and HVAC sectors, UMC is known for providing excellent service and fostering the next generation of professionals. This role focuses on ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while mentoring crew members and adhering to the company's vision and values.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure project progresses on schedule with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Work with Project Manager to generate RFIs during the project cycle
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure materials meet contractual requirements
  • Set goals and expectations for crew members and document progress
  • Teach and mentor crew members on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Monitor crew members to ensure adherence to best practices
  • Lead by example and uphold UMC's values
  • Approve daily time worked and conduct required Job Safety Assessments
  • Attend all required meetings and create weekly work plans
  • Travel as needed for project requirements

Required skills

  • EPA and RMGA certifications
  • Idaho licensed Journeyman or 6+ years of progressive HVAC experience
  • 2+ years of Foreman/Lead/Supervisor experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn software like Procore and PlanGrid
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and codes
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds and perform manual labor
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and drug screening
