Job Description

Overview

The HVAC & Boiler Technician at Freeland Ventures is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems and boiler equipment across various properties. This role involves travel between locations and participation in an on-call rotation to address urgent maintenance needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, condensers, and ductwork
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair boiler systems, including hot water and steam systems
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and local code requirements
  • Assist with general maintenance tasks including plumbing and electrical work
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
  • Communicate clearly with property managers about system issues
  • Document all service requests and repairs accurately

Required skills

  • 3+ years of HVAC and/or boiler repair experience
  • EPA Certification
  • HVAC certification or trade school training preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
