Overview

CFS is partnering with a small manufacturing company in Walker, MI to hire a Human Resources Generalist. This role is designed for an HR professional who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and seeks to impact the employee experience positively while maintaining a strong work-life balance in a supportive culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer full-cycle recruiting, including posting roles, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
  • Lead onboarding and orientation processes for new hires
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations questions and concerns
  • Support performance review processes and manager coaching
  • Administer employee benefits and assist with open enrollment
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support policy development and implementation
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and company events
  • Issue and reconcile employee monthly credit card statements

Required skills

  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
