Overview

As a Gourmet Chef at Market District, you will be integral to the daily operations of the Central Kitchen, overseeing aspects of food preparation, quality, customer service, and safety standards. You will also engage in educating both associates and customers while focusing on profitability and future growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Support a culture of safety in food preparation and customer service
  • Share food knowledge with team members and customers
  • Demonstrate suggestive selling techniques and provide sampling opportunities

  • Manage weekly inventories with Kitchen Manager
  • Prepare food ingredients efficiently for business management
  • Assist in monthly inventory processes

  • Participate in catering preparation and production across food areas
  • Monitor adherence to company policies and standards
