Overview

Collins Aerospace is seeking an entry-level Furnace Deck Operator I for their Spokane, WA facility, specializing in the production of carbon brake components. This role involves operating and maintaining high-temperature furnaces, utilizing cranes and forklifts, and ensuring product quality in a team-oriented environment with a rotating shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor high-temperature furnaces for carbon-carbon composite brake component production
  • Load and unload materials, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment
  • Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety regulations and uphold quality standards
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality
  • Collaborate with other functional groups on technical matters
  • Perform data entry and process monitoring using basic to intermediate computer skills

Required skills

  • Manufacturing processes experience
  • Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
