Overview

Quality Counts LLC is looking for a part-time Field Technician to support transportation and traffic data collection projects in Crystal Lake, Illinois. This role offers hands-on experience in the civil engineering industry, primarily focusing on outdoor physical labor and data gathering.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform physical labor roadside, such as installing and picking up video detection cameras
  • Create detailed field survey notes at collection locations
  • Upload recorded video for data processing
  • Travel around the Midwest for work, including occasional overnight stays

Required skills

  • Willingness to learn and engage in physical labor
  • Flexibility for travel and adaptability to working environments
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate power tools
  • Experience in construction, transportation engineering, traffic data collection, and field surveying are advantageous
