Overview

Micron Technology is seeking an Equipment Technician for their Advanced Packaging Technology Development (APTD) department in Idaho City, Idaho. This role focuses on monitoring, sustaining, and enhancing equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing, working alongside operations, equipment engineers, and vendors to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical evaluations to troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to technical documents and layouts.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to assess and modify manufacturing equipment as directed by engineers.
  • Schedule and execute preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets.
  • Monitor tool performance to identify and resolve equipment issues.

Required skills

  • Associates of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent military experience.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC circuits and electronic components.
  • Basic understanding of mathematics and problem-solving skills.
  • Standard PC skills including MS Office.
  • Fundamental understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance.
