Overview

The Austin Allen Company is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for a growing food manufacturing organization in Wichita Falls, Texas. In this fast-paced role, the Engineering Manager will lead engineering and maintenance projects, focusing on maximizing production capabilities and improving quality through effective team collaboration and problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance and engineering groups to maximize production
  • Review and analyze production, quality, and maintenance procedures to identify and solve issues
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve product quality by eliminating mechanical problems
  • Manage capital and expense projects to meet defined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Direct engineering and maintenance personnel on machine modifications to enhance production
  • Plan and schedule equipment maintenance and repairs to support production schedules

Required skills

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering or maintenance in food/beverage manufacturing
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in maintenance
  • Strong PLC programming expertise
  • Ammonia refrigeration experience
  • Experience managing budgets and capital projects
  • Knowledge of union environments, safety, and workers compensation preferred
