Job Description

Overview

The role of Senior Engineering Manager at a growing food manufacturing organization in Texas involves providing leadership and direction in a fast-paced environment. The focus will be on maximizing production capabilities through effective management of engineering and maintenance teams, ensuring all projects are executed in alignment with operational plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the maintenance and engineering groups to maximize production
  • Review and analyze production, quality, and maintenance processes to identify issues and implement solutions
  • Develop and implement procedures to enhance product quality
  • Manage capital and expense projects to meet defined scopes, budgets, and timelines
  • Direct engineering and maintenance personnel in modifying machines and equipment to increase production
  • Plan and schedule equipment maintenance and repairs to support production schedules

Required skills

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering or maintenance within food/beverage manufacturing
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in maintenance
  • Strong PLC programming experience
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration
  • Budget management and capital project experience
  • Preferred knowledge of union regulations, safety, and workers' compensation
