Overview

Aequor Healthcare is seeking Trauma Surgery Physician Assistants for a locum opportunity in Pennsylvania, providing coverage in a Level II Trauma Center. The position involves both day and night shifts, with a mix of responsibilities in trauma surgery and emergency general services.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient coverage for Trauma Surgery and Emergency General service
  • Perform bedside procedures such as I&Ds, laceration repairs, chest tube placement, and central line placement
  • Manage a caseload of patients, including an average of 5 admits per day and 2-5 admits per night
  • Work collaboratively with Trauma and Acute Care surgeons
  • Participate in a rotation covering 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts with no call

Required skills

  • Experience in trauma surgery and emergency medicine
  • Ability to perform surgical and bedside procedures
  • Strong patient care skills
  • Familiarity with healthcare administration
