Overview

The Director of Pharmacy Operations at Midland Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing and managing all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with both state and federal guidelines. This role supports a mission focused on patient care for individuals affected by HIV, Hepatitis C, and other infectious diseases.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with organizational policies
  • Optimize human capital and resources to improve operational efficiency
  • Oversee staffing, recruiting, training, and scheduling of pharmacy staff
  • Ensure adherence to payor contract compliance and operational standards
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for ACHC accreditation
  • Manage medication inventory and coordinate patient therapy management programs
  • Serve as the main point of contact for pharmacy communication and business development
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable for the organization

Required skills

  • BS/BA in Business/Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership and operations experience in pharmacy or healthcare
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy practice preferred
  • Valid unrestricted Pharmacist license from the Florida Board of Pharmacy
  • Ability to pass a Level I Background check
