Overview

The Director, Human Resources at Astound is responsible for managing the organization's employee relations strategy, policies, and programs to create a positive and compliant workplace culture. This role involves collaboration with HR leadership and business leaders to address employee concerns, manage workplace investigations, and develop initiatives that promote engagement and trust across the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and implement the organization's employee relations strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on sensitive employee relations issues.
  • Monitor workplace trends and identify risks to enhance organizational culture.
  • Oversee the resolution of complex employee relations matters.
  • Lead internal investigations ensuring legal compliance.
  • Provide training on conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Track and analyze employee relations metrics.
  • Drive initiatives for employee trust and workplace inclusion.
  • Guide change management and communication strategies.

Required skills

  • 10 years of progressive HR experience
  • 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in leading investigations and resolving issues
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Emotional intelligence and confidentiality
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Organizational and project management abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar) preferred
