Overview

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician B to perform preventative maintenance and repair on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. This role operates on a 4-day work week, offering competitive pay, a sign-on bonus, and numerous benefits from day one.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet diesel equipment
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal trucking regulations
  • Document repairs and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system
  • Inspect and maintain brake systems, steering mechanisms, and other critical components
  • Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes and battery checks
  • Perform road call services as required
  • Handle installation, replacement, and repair of onboard computers
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively

Required skills

  • 2+ years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance, tire & wheel work, air brakes, and computerized diagnostics
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting and electronic component repair
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
