Job Description

Overview

As a Commissioning Engineer at Amazon Data Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning of critical infrastructure in AWS data centers. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with engineering designs, manage third-party commissioning vendors, and support project execution in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide testing and validation oversight of electrical and mechanical infrastructure
  • Review design documents and lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT)
  • Manage onsite pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems testing
  • Audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements
  • Develop test scripts and scheduling for projects
  • Communicate lessons learned and participate in program improvements
  • Coordinate site activities and manage project commissioning vendors

Required skills

  • 5+ years of engineering, installation, or commissioning experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in critical facilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers
  • Experience developing and executing test procedures
