Overview

The Commercial Quality Lead at Abiomed, Inc. plays a crucial role in defining customer priorities and quality plans to meet customer requirements, particularly in the Americas region. This position is responsible for managing commercial quality-related escalations, facilitating logistics operations, and ensuring compliance with corporate standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Define customer priorities and quality plans to achieve requirements
  • Support growth and ensure compliant commercial and distribution operations
  • Complete commercial quality related escalations per Abiomed SOPs
  • Execute Field Actions in accordance with Abiomed SOPs
  • Perform shop floor Quality activities related to distribution and customer service
  • Approve and assist in investigations of non-conformances and CAPA
  • Facilitate interactions with suppliers to optimize logistics operations
  • Review and approve change controls for distribution and transportation
  • Develop processes, systems, resources, and SOPs in alignment with J&J policies
  • Implement processes to ensure effective Commercial Quality operations
  • Support business and technical self-development through planning
  • Identify and implement cost and efficiency opportunities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in a Commercial Quality Lead-related occupation
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
  • Experience in Process Improvement and Logistics Management
  • Skills in Supply Chain Coordination and Customer Service
